The Patient Care Assistant I (PCA I) is accountable for supporting patient care activities, under the supervision of a registered nurse, in the clinic setting and on inpatient nursing units. The PCA I works closely with the charge nurse and staff nurses to assure patient care needs are met. The PCA I performs patient care activities, as delegated, and adheres to patient safety measures. The PCA I is competent in the performance of basic patient care activities, medical terminology, communication, organizational, and computer skills. The PCA I demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Education/ Licensure/ Specialized Training: a.
