DOT Compliance Technician II

Full time remote work position based in Houston, Texas or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Applicants in other states may be considered on a case-by-case basis

Elemental Compliance is a growing, woman-owned company providing professional consulting services on Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and State regulations to oil and gas operators of all sizes. Elemental consultants have over 30 years' experience in consulting on these regulations and are located in Houston, Texas, Denver, Colorado, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Requirements:

Ideal candidates applying for this position would fulfill the following:

  • Located in or near Houston, Texas or Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
  • Possess a college degree in a scientific or technical field, project management, or engineering.
  • Have 3-5 years' experience with PHMSA regulations.
  • Have 3-5 years' project management/operational experience.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills.
  • Effective self-starter, able to work productively and efficiently in a distributed work environment.
  • Some travel required up to 10%.


Responsibilities:

Candidate will support the Elemental Compliance team by performing DOT Compliance Tech II Tasks including the following:

  • Conduct gap analyses of client documents to identify compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze upcoming U.S. pipeline regulations, trends, and enforcement guidance to assess their impact.
  • Develop, review, and revise written pipeline safety programs to align with industry standards.
  • Perform jurisdictional analyses of client assets to identify applicable regulatory authorities.
  • Facilitate client audit preparation, administration, and post-audit follow-up activities.
  • Provide onsite support at client locations as needed.
  • Manage client implementation initiatives, including preparation, review, and tracking.
  • Assist with the implementation of client pipeline safety programs to ensure compliance and operational success.
  • Foster and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and proactive engagement.
  • Develop and quality-check proposals to ensure accuracy and alignment with client and company standards.
  • Monitor projects sub-tasks and deadlines to ensure timely delivery and successful execution.
  • Build and nurture client relationships through consistent communication and tailored solutions.
  • Represent the company at conferences, networking events, and industry forums.
