The purpose of the Equipment Worker in the Maintenance section of the Houston Airport System is to support the goal of "Opening Day Fresh" by prolonging the life and aesthetic beauty of airport's owned assets through effective, efficient, and proactive maintenance. The Maintenance business unit ensures the airport maintains its annual operating certificate by performing key maintenance functions as mandated by Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 139."Must be able to pass a criminal background check, obtain and maintain federally mandated security clearances where required. Candidates must be able to obtain all security required badge access including Custom Border Patrol access within 6 months from the hire date."The Equipment Worker duties will include but are not limited to:Operates heavy equipment and operates trucks to transport equipment, refuse and/or materials to and from work sites.
