Allegiance Crane & Equipment is a top employer in the crane industry and is currently seeking an HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team at our headquarters office in the Clear Lake area, near NASA. The position will also hold an office at our Houston branch, near the Houston ship channel.

HR Business Partner Essential Responsibilities

• Consult and advise managers and supervisors to drive high performance of their team and to foster an open, positive, team-oriented culture.
• Ensure adequate documentation on employee relations issues and counseling.
• Respond to all unemployment claims and state SUI notices.
• Serve as recruiter for all positions – both field and office positions (heavy recruiting).
• Ensure effective onboarding of the workforce.
• Support workforce planning for temporary projects and ongoing staffing needs.
• Coordinate temporary project workers with labor companies, as needed.
• Order pre-employment background checks & drug tests. Monitor pre-employment activities and coordinate start dates w/branch.
• Work with VP of HR to manage compensation within the region.
• Manage leaves of absence within the region.
• Support all open enrollment activities within the region, including conducting open enrollment meetings.

Requirements

• Strong MS Office skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to be highly effective with people; strong leadership skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, PHR, SPHR, SCP, CP, or equivalent work experience required.
• Previous HR work in the downstream or project industry preferred.
• Min 1 year experience recruiting required – job expected to be ~50% recruiting.
• Min 2 years experience in an HR role needed.
• Ability to travel across the gulf coast region, up 25%.
