Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of a broad range of materials used in the energy industry.
2. Maintain a comprehensive inventory system, ensuring accuracy in records and swift retrieval of materials when needed.
3. Coordinate with various departments to understand their material needs and ensure their timely fulfillment.
4. Implement and adhere to safety protocols in the handling and storage of materials, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
5. Regularly conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile with existing records to maintain accuracy.
6. Identify and address any discrepancies in inventory, taking corrective actions as necessary.
7. Participate in the planning of future material needs, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
8. Collaborate with suppliers and transport companies, building strong relationships to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of materials.
9. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in materials handling, implementing best practices in our operations.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in Materials Handling or a similar role, preferably in the energy industry.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of safe and effective materials handling procedures.
3. Proficiency in inventory management software and other relevant computer applications.
4. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
5. Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of work.
6. Good physical condition, able to lift and move heavy items when necessary.
7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with various internal and external parties.
8. Problem-solving mindset, able to identify and address issues swiftly and effectively.
9. High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certifications in materials handling or related field will be a plus.
