IT Support Specialist (Onsite)

Onsite Position: Primary office Zip Code 77004 – some local travel to sites in area

Pay: $25-26 hourly based on experience and qualifications

This role provides technical, analytical, and administrative assistance to the company. A main task will be to distribute workstations to new hires and help with hardware and software upgrades to existing employees as needed. You will also troubleshoot and problem-solve IT-related issues to help the company create and maintain an effective working environment.

Essential Functions

• Processes critical EOM functions on multiple servers
• Performs new PC deployments
• Performs server checks and minor administration of ERP applications on company servers
• Performs administration of critical cloud-based services: PC backups, security software, etc.
• Installs software and repairs hardware as needed
• Resolves IT helpdesk tickets as needed
• Consults with managers and employees to determine hardware and software needs
• Trains employees on new software as needed
• Maintains system capabilities by testing computer components
• Documents processes
• Performs regular diagnostic tests

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or similar required
• 2+ years of experience as an IT Support Specialist required
