Under the general direction of the Security Manager, the Security Officer protects the life and property of all persons on hospital premises and patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, theft, and vandalism.
The Security Officer is responsible for securing, unlocking, and protecting hospital buildings, responding to security needs of hospital personnel, patients, and visitors, and participating in performance improvement activities.

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
A minimum of two to five years of experience in law enforcement, security operations, or a related field is required.
A current Basic Life Support (CPR) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association is required.
Non-commissioned Security License
1. Association Provider certification or CPI certification is preferred.
2. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
