Job Description

This position involves work related to management or general business operations within an organization or functional area. It requires advanced knowledge from specialized instruction, experience, and expertise. The role involves exercising discretion and independent judgment on significant matters.

The Senior Project Automation Specialist provides local support for project automation technology, including end-user support, project configuration, and modifications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical configuration and support for automation technology in collaboration with the Automation Manager.
  • Manage the department and develop/manage the Project Automation Specialists (PAS).
  • Promote effective knowledge sharing via Fluors portals and communities.
  • Guide Project Automation Specialists in configuration and support tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Project Information Manager to resolve technical issues.
  • Analyze and evaluate technology support and implementation needs.
  • Ensure data integrity, backup processes, and best practices are followed.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets as needed.
  • Foster talent development and succession planning.
  • Deliver client or project presentations as required.
  • Support end-user office and project setup, configuration, and modifications.
  • Assist IT in evaluating technology impacts.
  • Manage testing and validation of technology solutions.
  • Protect intellectual property and confidentiality.
  • Recommend solutions for complex problems in line with organizational goals.
  • Prioritize and organize multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
  • Plan and execute work assignments, following policies and standards.
  • Support health, safety, environmental, and sustainability policies.
  • Develop core skills relevant to the role.
  • Travel as needed for business.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Four-year degree in a relevant field and 12 years of related experience, or a combination of education and 13-16 years of experience if non-degreed.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse audiences.
  • Technical knowledge necessary for the role.
  • Ability to learn and apply relevant statutes and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and time management skills.
Additional Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Support for Excel To Win (ETW) strategies and Business Transformation & Innovation initiatives.
  • Specializations in Project Data Analytics or Development activities may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering or computer science preferred, or equivalent technical experience.
  • 12 years experience in project, IT, or automation fields.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, security, communications, network support, software development, and automation systems.
  • Vendor certifications in relevant technologies are advantageous.
Salary Range

$118,500 to $213,500.
