H-E-B's Transportation division supports distribution by transporting products from the warehouse to our retail stores. H-E-B Transportation ships an average of 12,000 deliveries per week and travels 57 million miles each year. Our Reverse Logistics Partners move products and materials from their typical end destination to recoup value—by remanufacturing, refurbishing, or properly disposing of them.

As a Returned Goods Partner, you'll perform specific department duties related to the daily operation of one function or area of reverse logistics, including Returned Goods Center (RGC), recycling, or reusable/pallet administration, supporting H-E-B's transportation network across locations such as San Antonio, Houston, Temple, Weslaco, Corpus Christi, and San Marcos.

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in a physically demanding job (lifting, standing, walking, fast-paced)
  • Dependability

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform work tasks safely, following work instructions and proactively improving safety
  • Assist fellow Partners by sharing information and knowledge about processes and procedures
  • Help new Partners integrate into the work environment
  • Complete work assignments efficiently to support on-time trailer releases
  • Operate equipment per SOPs to prevent damage
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Box Recycler: Lift and inspect recycled boxes, move non-damaged boxes
  • Loader: Load and unload boxes, palletize by hand
  • Scanner: Scan and inspect returned items, sort appropriately
  • Baling Machine Operator: Operate baling machine, secure bales

In terms of sanitation:

  • Clean and organize assigned areas in compliance with SFTA and FSMA regulations
  • Perform tasks per SOPs
  • Recover damage where possible

Background requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Ideal candidate qualities:

  • Organization and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Safe operation of machines and equipment

Physical requirements:

  • Function in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Repetitively lift 5-60 lbs
  • Stand, walk, and squat for extended periods
  • Work extended shifts, including nights, holidays, and fluctuating hours
