Our company, a leading player in the energy industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled professionals in the midstream oil and gas sector. The successful candidate will have a key role in managing our financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of our general ledger, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. This role requires a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity and a deep understanding of oil and gas accounting.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial reports to support business operations
• Budget forecasts, depreciations, tax deferrals, financial ratios, billing and adjustments, rate and tariff schedules, derivative entries and disclosures
• Collaborate with the property accounting team and other departments to implement process improvements
• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and supporting calculations
• Verify and perform calculations related to depreciation, allocations, and financial ratios
• Utilize accounting software to prepare and verify information, including forecasts and regulatory reports
• Provide information and assistance to auditors, regulatory staff, and internal stakeholders regarding accounting activities

Qualifications:

• Previous experience using Waterfield software a must
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or commensurate experience
• Knowledge of standard accounting methods and procedures
• Ability to interpret governmental regulations, accounting publications, and legal documents
