Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The Front Desk Receptionist at Frazer will report to the Human Resources Director and will provide a welcoming, eager to please, professional and accurate service to customers, both internal and external, through personal contact, email/chat, or via phone. Secondary duties include a variety of administrative tasks pertaining to the front desk and reception. The successful candidate will undergo onboarding and training at our Houston facility. Following this phase, they will assume their role at our Sugar Land office.
This position is expected to actively live out Frazer Core Values while working with Frazer employees, vendors, and customers to help achieve team, department, and corporate goals. Responsible for learning and reinforcing safe and proper work procedures while actively following Frazer Safety programs and other policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
What Does a Week in the Life of the Front Desk Receptionist Look Like?
- Arrives at work on time and clock in by 6:45 AM daily. Maintain consistent attendance and adhere to scheduled hours.
- Follows all company dress code standards for this position and presents a professional appearance at all times.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming front lobby and reception desk. Wipes down surfaces and equipment regularly, and promptly removes any trash or items left by visitors.
- Ensures the kitchen is clean and stocked. Wipes down countertops, appliances, and tables per established routines. Brews coffee each morning and replenishes throughout the day as needed. Monitors and restocks kitchen supplies (e.g., utensils, coffee, filters). Clears expired items from the refrigerator weekly. Loads and unloads the dishwasher each morning and afternoon to maintain clean dishware.
- Keeps all conference rooms clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Wipes down tables and ensures seating and materials are arranged neatly.
- Powers on company monitors at the start of each day and shuts them down at the end of your shift. Updates daily welcome screens in accordance with visitor schedules.
- Charges interview laptops or tablets daily. Disinfects equipment after each use and ensures systems are set up and ready for candidates.
- Begins managing the multi-line phone system at 7:00 AM. Answer calls professionally, routes them appropriately, and takes messages or screens calls in line with company procedures.
- Checks Dialpad voicemails daily and forwards messages to the correct team members. Documents all employee call-ins (absences/tardiness) in the call log and notifies relevant supervisors promptly.
- Greets interviewees upon arrival and notify hiring managers via Google Chat. Administers candidate assessments, grades them, and uploads results to shared drives and calendar invites. Provides technology setup assistance for interviews and alert managers when candidates are ready.
- Provides courteous and accurate assistance to employees, visitors, and vendors in person, email/chat and over the phone. Answers basic inquiries and refers individuals to appropriate departments as needed.
- Enforces visitor check-in protocols including sign-in logs, issuing visitor badges and required PPE, and manages front desk access in accordance with company procedures.
- Provides cross-functional administrative assistance to departments including filing, scanning, faxing, emailing, data entry, mail prep, calendar management as needed.
- Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and packages. Notifies employees of mail ready for pickup. Records checks and sales packet deliveries and alerts appropriate departments.
- Oversees key checkout and return for company vehicles (Buick, Pickup, Flatbed). Tracks returns and reports missing keys to supervisors promptly.
- Handles sensitive administrative tasks with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Minimum one year experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or similar role.

- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bilingual in Spanish (oral and written with ability to translate documents) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Google Suite.

Oh, and $alary
Of course, we didn't forget salary... Frazer offers competitive pay and this role will start with a salary between $20.00 - $24.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience.
Work Schedule
The Front Desk Receptionist will work Monday - Thursday 6:45 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 6:45 AM - 11:00 AM. Late afternoon/evening/weekend hours may be required as needed. Work schedules may change to accommodate production needs.
