Job Details

SUMMARY:
As our Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring products and materials meet quality, contract, and certification standards through timely inspections. You will work with Operations and Supply Chain to maintain high standards and meet delivery schedules, while ensuring compliance with ISO, CSA, and other regulations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure all materials and workmanship meet relevant standards (ASME, ANSI, UL, etc.) and project specs.
• Inspect materials and finished goods for compliance with customer and contract requirements.
• Review project specs and collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve fabrication issues.
• Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and workmanship.
• Work with internal teams to resolve and prevent quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with ISO procedures.
• Maintain calibration of inspection equipment annually.
• Stay current on certifications, codes, and industry standards.
• Support and implement the company's Quality Management System.
• Represent the company in quality-related investigations and decisions.
• Follow safety and housekeeping standards.
• Maintain ASME code certifications and act as the main contact for Authorized and Customer Inspectors.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years in quality control, with at least 3 years reviewing inspection reports.
• Must read engineering drawings, interpret symbols, and apply codes, standards, and specs.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience in one or more of the following roles:

Quality Engineer
Quality Manager/Supervisor
Certified/Code Inspector
NDE Technician
Materials Testing Technician

• Must hold one or more certifications:

AWS CWI
NACE Level II/III
ASNT Level II/III
API 510/570/577
NDE (RT, MT, UT, etc.)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• ASME joint reviews/audits
• Reviewing quality procedures
• Writing technical procedures
• Knowledge of instrumentation/electrical (I/E)
• Paint prep and application systems
