Description:

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Estimator who thrives in technically complex environments and is passionate about shaping the early stages of critical infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who brings both precision and creativity to the estimating process—someone who can lead with confidence, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver thoughtful, data-driven proposals.

You will be at the forefront of our preconstruction efforts, guiding a team through high-value estimates that support essential systems and facilities. These projects often involve intricate mechanical scopes and process infrastructure, requiring a deep understanding of construction methodologies and cost strategy. Your work will directly influence project success, client relationships, and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates, bid schedules, and proposal documentation.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and site conditions to define scope and risk.
  • Integrate historical performance data, vendor quotes, and subcontractor input into comprehensive pricing models.
  • Develop conceptual budgets and provide early-phase estimating support for design-build and CMAR pursuits.
  • Coordinate internal estimating teams and interface with operations, engineering, and executive leadership.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and client presentations.
  • Present value engineering options and schedule strategies using CPM tools.
  • Maintain and refine estimating databases and cost code structures (e.g., Heavy Bid).
  • Support project handoff and cost control setup for awarded contracts.
  • Mentor junior estimators and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical background.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in estimating roles focused on infrastructure or mechanical-heavy scopes.
  • Proven ability to lead complex estimates and manage cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, particularly in process-intensive environments.
  • PE license preferred but not required.
  • OSHA training preferred but not required.

Benefits and Salary:

  • Competitive salary: $130K–$150K
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • Full benefits including 401(k) and health insurance
