Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Piping or Mechanical Engineer with experience in digital-twin software platforms, digital modelling or similar applications to join our innovative team. This role will support our newly formed technology capability, enhancing our traditional engineering services across electrical, mechanical, civil, piping, and soft crafts.
The successful candidate will bridge advanced technology with practical engineering applications, working closely with asset owners to optimize front-end planning, inspections, work planning, and scheduled maintenance activities. This position requires strong technical expertise, customer-facing skills, and the ability to integrate tools such as 3D laser scanning, digitization of isometric drawings (ISOs), and digital-twin environments to deliver exceptional asset management solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the digital-twin team to integrate 3D laser scanning, ISO digitization, and digital-twin platforms into engineering workflows, enhancing design, execution, and maintenance processes.
- Support the development and implementation of digital-twin solutions to improve asset management, from front-end planning to field execution, for electrical, mechanical, civil, piping, and soft crafts disciplines.
- Leverage expertise in piping or mechanical engineering to ensure practical application of digital-twin technologies in design, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Act as a technical liaison between engineering teams, field execution crews, and asset owners, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of project objectives.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, present technical solutions, and demonstrate the value of digital-twin integration in improving asset performance and operational efficiency.
- Utilize 3D laser scanning data and digitized ISOs to create accurate, real-time digital representations of assets within digital-twin environments.
- Contribute to the development of standardized processes for integrating digital-twin technologies into traditional engineering and field execution workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and field teams on the use of digital-twin tools and their practical applications.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital-twin platforms, 3D laser scanning, and asset management solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or piping engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical or piping engineering, with direct or indirect exposure to digital-twin software platforms.
- Proficiency with 3D laser scanning or surveying technologies, digitization of ISOs, and integration within digital-twin environments.
- Strong understanding of engineering design, field execution, and asset management processes across mechanical, piping, or related disciplines.
- Proven ability to bridge technology and practical engineering applications, ensuring seamless integration of digital tools into real-world workflows.
- Project management experience, including scoping, planning, and execution of engineering projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive and innovative approach to leveraging technology for operational improvements.
Key Skills
- Experience with digital-twin platforms and how they integrate with traditional engineering workflows.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for piping and mechanical engineering (e.g., ASME, API).
- Exceptional customer-facing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and build strong client relationships.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, civil, piping, and soft crafts disciplines.
- Familiarity with asset management processes, including front-end planning, inspections, work planning, and scheduled maintenance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with data analytics or IoT integration within digital-twin environments.
