Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the lead legal advisor for EPC-related matters and agreements
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex EPC contracts and other commercial agreements
• Provide legal support throughout the full project lifecycle—from development to operations
• Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks in construction and infrastructure projects
• Support issue resolution on warranty claims, liens, schedule impacts, force majeure, and scope changes
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure business goals are achieved within legal and compliance parameters
• Monitor evolving laws and regulations impacting EPC transactions and proactively address risks
• Develop and deliver internal training on EPC-related legal and compliance matters
• Support the implementation of internal legal policies and process improvements

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a commercial attorney with a strong focus on EPC transactions
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating EPC agreements and supporting major capital projects
• Solid understanding of construction-related commercial issues and regulatory compliance
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to balance legal risk with business strategy in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors is preferred
• Commitment to pro bono or community-oriented legal work is a plus
