We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT System Administrator/System Analyst to join our JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX . If Selected You Will Be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing information systems that align with business needs. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that systems function efficiently and effectively. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for optimizing technology solutions. Qualifications This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area and normally possess 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or in a similar role. Proven experience with systems analysis, design, and implementation. Proficiency in system analysis tools and methodologies. Experience with SQL, databases, and ERP systems. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is an advantage. Knowledge and experience with AWS cloud operations. Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work aptitude and interest in learning new technologies. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into detailed technical requirements and specifications. Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions. Proven experience administering Windows 2019+/Linux systems in a complex environment. Develop detailed system designs, workflows, and data models to support business requirements. Coordinate and support the implementation of new systems or enhancements, including testing and troubleshooting. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes, configurations, and user guides. Develop and execute test plans to ensure systems function as intended and meet quality standards. Serve as a liaison between IT teams and business units to ensure clear communication and effective solutions. Monitor system performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency and user experience. Ensure systems adhere to compliance standards and security protocols. Assist in remediating security vulnerabilities.
