The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance network infrastructures using industry-leading technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network reliability, security, and scalability while automating processes to improve efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design, configure, and troubleshoot network systems using Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Fortinet devices. Implement and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other network hardware. Collaborate with security teams and business units to enforce policies and maintain compliance with industry standards. Develop and deploy automation scripts using Python and Ansible to streamline network operations. Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and scalability. Document network designs, configurations, and processes for operational support and knowledge sharing. Stay up-to-date with emerging networking technologies and best practices to recommend improvements. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed. Required Skills And Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in network engineering, preferably in an industrial or OT environment. In-depth understanding of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs). Proficiency in Python programming for network automation and scripting. Strong experience with Ansible for configuration management and deployment. Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Networking Knowledge Strong understanding of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, EIGRP) Strong understanding of switching technologies (e.g., VLANs, STP, HSRP) Strong understanding of VPN and networking controls (e.g., VPNs, IPsec, NAT, ACLs) Preferred Qualifications Experience with SCADA systems and ICS cybersecurity Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert), Cisco CCNA/CCNP, or equivalent are preferred. Familiarity with network monitoring tools Experience with cloud networking Certifications Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
