Pediatrician at Legacy Community Health

As a Pediatrician, you'll not only care for children and adolescents aged 0-18, you'll drive holistic healthcare that integrates both acute care and chronic disease management. Your work will be a cornerstone in creating a sustainable and impactful healthcare ecosystem for our youngest community members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver treatment plans at our clinic.
  • Adjust and expand work hours to stay aligned with the clinic's growth and patient needs.
  • Achieve or exceed productivity targets as established by the Medical Director of Pediatrics.
  • Adhere strictly to clinical diagnostic and evidence-based pediatric treatment protocols.
  • Ensure availability by phone during scheduled hours to provide needed assistance.
  • Collaborate in the creation and refinement of patient education materials and practice guidelines.
  • Supervise and mentor healthcare students assigned to the clinic for educational purposes.
  • Develop and sustain a robust program for clinical quality assurance.
  • Oversee non-physician providers, including Licensed Therapists, Certified Nurse Practitioners, and Certified Physician Assistants, in pediatric treatment.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings and committees as assigned, maintaining punctuality and constructive input.
  • Engage in on-call rotation to support after-hours and weekend departmental coverage.
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned to enhance clinic operations and patient care.
Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated interest in providing pediatric care from newborns to adolescents.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Commitment to upholding the Code of Ethics as outlined by your professional licensing entity.
  • Completion of continuing education hours necessary to maintain your professional license.
  • Maintain good standing with the relevant professional licensing board.
  • Exhibit cultural competence and sensitivity towards all populations served.
  • Effective communication skills adaptable to staff, community, and general public interactions.
  • Capability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
