Position

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the manufacturing engineering department at our Houston, TX facility. This includes leading, and growing, a team to optimize processes, determine production plans and equipment, and improve all of manufacturing.

As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the manufacturing engineering department at our Houston, TX facility. This includes leading, and growing, a team to optimize processes, determine production plans and equipment, and improve all of manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all employees and build a strong safety culture across all manufacturing areas.
• Directly oversee and lead the manufacturing and industrial engineering departments.
• Drive a culture of continuous growth within the Manufacturing Engineering team as lead practitioners of process technology and excellence
• Set clear performance expectations and provide coaching to drive individual and team accountability.
• Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing through design for manufacturing, equipment, and process improvements.
• Implement new manufacturing production lines, equipment and processes for newly introduced products.
• Determine required capital improvements and financial justification for them.
• Leading a continuous improvement, 5S program to improve efficiency within manufacturing.
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) or a related technical field is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of overall experience in manufacturing engineering, facilities management, or industrial maintenance, with at least five years in a supervisory or leadership role managing teams.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in leading capital projects, including scope definition, budgeting, and execution.
• Strong business analytical skills, solid financial abilities including working knowledge of budgeting.
• Practical experience leading lean manufacturing operations.
• Solid skills with AutoCAD / Office / Solidworks / ERP software (JDE preferred)
