We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team and drive key HR initiatives aligned with business objectives. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risk, and fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in employee relations, employment law, performance management, and organizational development. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex HR challenges while supporting workforce planning and employee engagement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Management & Onboarding
- Run orientation and ensure smooth new hire integration
- Manage employee onboarding in HRIS and maintain accurate employee records
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and support retention strategies
- Identify and support career growth opportunities across the organization
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Be a point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues
- Advise managers on disciplinary actions and conflict resolution
- Conduct workplace investigations and ensure fair, consistent outcomes
- Ensure compliance with labor laws (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.)
- Support internal audits and maintain up-to-date labor law postings
Benefits & Leave Administration
- Help employees with benefit questions and open enrollment
- Administer leave programs including FMLA, ADA, and other statutory leaves
- Ensure compliance with federal and state leave laws
Performance Management & Development
- Support performance review cycles
- Coach managers on feedback delivery, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and employee development plans
- Collaborate with Learning & Development (L&D) to support training and career progression
Employee Engagement & Culture
- Help lead employee engagement programs, events, and surveys
- Support employee recognition and communication initiatives
HRIS, Data & Payroll Support
- Support HR reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Assist with payroll inputs including timecards, PTO tracking, and employee changes
- Partner with payroll and finance teams to resolve pay-related issues
Organizational Development & Change
- Support change initiatives, restructures, and communication planning
- Help improve HR workflows and cross-functional communication
- Ensure organizational changes align with policies and employment law
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR) preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations, performance management, and compliance support.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws such as FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Title VII, and NLRA.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and advising managers on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to analyze HR data and provide actionable insights to support business goals.
- Proficient in HRIS systems (e.g., Paycor, Workday, ADP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
