Job Summary:

Genesis is a leading management consultancy known for high-quality engineering solutions. They are seeking a Principal Instrument & Controls Engineer to lead the development of instrumentation and control systems for energy projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and managing supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and write technical Scopes of Work and Basis of Design documentation, ensuring technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements.
  2. Develop, review, and mark-up instruments on P&IDs to ensure compliance with company, client, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, API).
  3. Develop sizing, calculations, and specifications of control valves, regulators, flowmeters, and instrumentation including Level, Pressure, Temperature & Flow.
  4. Prepare calculations, technical specifications, proposal evaluations, technical reports, detailed analyses, and other materials for proposals and concept evaluation.
  5. Contribute to the preparation of schedules and cost estimates for I&C packages during conceptual and detailed design stages.
  6. Review supplier drawing submittals, respond to RFIs, and perform technical bid analysis.
  7. Attend meetings and participate as a company representative in client or vendor meetings.
  8. Work in a multidisciplinary environment, coordinating with other discipline engineers and management.
  9. Manage supplier relationships and review their document deliverables.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering with 10-15 years of relevant upstream/downstream sustainable energy experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative solutions.
  • Experience in offshore facilities engineering, with exposure to Gulf of Mexico requirements.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (NEC, NESC, IEEE, IEC, DNVGL, ISO, UFC, API).
