Job Details

The Contract Specialist is responsible for negotiating and managing contracts for Information Technology projects. They will work with a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure that contracts are fair and equitable, and that they meet the needs of the company.

Essential Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Redline and negotiate terms and conditions in IT-related agreements for Professional Services, software licenses, SaaS/XaaS, data licensing, hardware, telecom, SOWs, Order Forms, etc. with selected contractors and vendors.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as technical leads, risk management, tax group, and legal teams as well as working with outside legal counsel, to ensure that contracts are drafted to protect interests and align with project requirements and organizational policies.
Requirements:

- Minimum 3 years' experience technology contracts negotiations

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field

- Experience redlining technology contracts - software, SaaS/XaaS, hardware, telecom, professional services, data license agreements, etc.

- In-depth knowledge of IT contracting practices, legal frameworks, and industry standards.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into contractual terms.

- Ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and coherent manner

- Detail oriented

- Ability to work in and thrive on ambiguity

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities

- Ability to self-manage with conflicting priorities and demands on time

- Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance
