We are currently seeking a Vice President, Cyber Security & Risk Management to join our team.

This position is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our enterprise-wide information security, cybersecurity and data privacy strategy. Drives a proactive, risk-based approach to protecting the company's data, networks, and systems to ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a security-first culture across the organization that maintains the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets. Consistently collaborates with senior leadership, legal, compliance, enterprise analytics, and all ITS teams to establish and implement a coordinated strategy for mitigating information and data security risks.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive information security, cybersecurity, and data privacy strategy aligned to business and technology objectives.
  • Leads enterprise security governance, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Serves as the single point of accountability across the company for designing, executing, and monitor security, privacy, and cybersecurity initiatives deployed across the organization.
  • Builds strategic relationships to facilitate and lead cross functional teams and aligns work around common goals.
  • Takes a long-range approach to strategic ideation through objective analysis and understanding of interdependencies.
  • Anticipates new challenges, threats, and opportunities, gathering and interpreting data from diverse resources to encourage critical thinking and innovation.
  • Holds a strong orientation towards achieving results, ensuring plans are executed and focused on areas of greatest impact.
  • Recognizes and leads change, taking accountability to create long-term scalable solutions for the organization.
Cybersecurity Operations
  • Oversees all aspects of cybersecurity, including threat detection, prevention, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Leads the design, implementation, testing, and operation of modern cybersecurity infrastructure, including security tools, endpoint protection, intrusion detection, and network security controls.
  • Manages the Security Operations Center (SOC) function.
  • Oversees security testing programs, including penetration testing, red/blue team exercises, and security assessments.
  • Maintains a robust cybersecurity awareness and training program for employees and stakeholders.
Data Security, Risk Management & Compliance
  • Leads enterprise-wide security risk assessments and third-party risk management efforts.
  • Leads the team who oversees incident response planning, tabletop exercises, and disaster recovery readiness.
Executive Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Provides regular briefings and reports to executive leadership and the Board of Directors on the organization's cybersecurity posture, risks, and key metrics.
  • Serves as the privacy official and primary liaison with regulators, auditors, customers, and partners on security and privacy matters.
Team Development
  • Leads, mentors, and grows a high-performing, diverse team of information security, cybersecurity, and privacy professionals with line of sight to business strategy and deep understanding of multiple function operations.
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the security organization.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required. Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Fifteen or more years of progressive leadership experience in information security and cybersecurity roles, with at least ten years in executive or senior leadership positions.
  • Deep expertise in security architecture, threat intelligence, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  • Strong knowledge of security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing enterprise cybersecurity programs in complex environments.
  • Able to take a long-range, broad approach to strategic ideation and planning through objective analysis, critical thinking and innovation. Gains commitments and rallies the team around a unified vision.
  • Holds a strong orientation towards achieving results, providing metrics and guidance, communicating progress, recognizing the need for change and remaining mindful of the culture and how people are included in planning and implementation.
  • Proactively recognizes the need for organizational change. Seeks expertise from multiple sources, organizes information, and takes accountability to create a long-term scalable solution for the organization.
  • Superior written and spoken communication skills, and ability to explain, persuade, summarize and influence with skill and precision.
  • Strong leadership skills to develop collaborative working relationships under conditions of change and partners with internal and external constituents to accomplish organizational goals.
  • Ability to lead multiple layers of leadership to hire for culture fit and future potential, coach, mentor, and develop leaders with line of sight to business strategy and deep understanding of multiple function operations and the organization strategy.
  • Ability to coach and develop future leaders through identification of talents and capabilities critical to the success of the business.
  • Ability to create opportunities for individuals and teams to innovate, develop relationships, and lead meaningful initiatives.
