What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee daily payroll operations for a complex veterinary services organization with over 4,500 employees across multiple practices
- Process and validate bi-weekly payrolls, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Serve as a subject matter expert on payroll systems and processes, addressing escalated payroll inquiries
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations, and other teams to ensure seamless payroll integration
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll operations and maintain documentation for regulatory adherence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in payroll operations management, including at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of payroll laws and regulations, including FLSA and IRS guidelines
- Experience with payroll systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
