Position: Manager of Revenue Integrity

Pay: $100k–130k annual salary

Schedule: Hybrid (on-site required 1 day/week; typically 2–3 days in office)

Type: Contract-to-Hire

Overview:

The Manager of Revenue Integrity leads the professional revenue integrity team to ensure accurate charge capture, reconciliation, and compliance across the revenue cycle. This role collaborates with clinical and financial departments, drives process improvements, and ensures reimbursement optimization. The position focuses primarily on professional billing while also working with hospital billing, overseeing a team of ~15 staff, and reporting to the Director of Revenue Integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all revenue integrity functions for professional charges, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Oversee charge capture, reconciliation, data analytics, pricing, and billing operations.
  • Monitor work queues, charge edits, and reconciliation reports to optimize processes.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Clinical, and Finance teams to improve workflows.
  • Analyze revenue trends, KPIs, and variances; implement corrective actions.
  • Support coding best practices, documentation improvement, and denial prevention strategies.
  • Manage hiring, training, performance, and productivity of team members.
  • Stay up-to-date with billing regulations, payer requirements, and system updates.
  • Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations, payer rules, and organizational policies.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in Revenue Integrity.
  • 5 years of PB experience.
  • Certifications: CPC, CMC, RHIA, or CRCR.
  • Strong knowledge of Charge Description Master (CDM) and data analysis.
  • Epic EMR experience required.
  • Full-scope RCM knowledge (front, middle, back office).
  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Healthcare or MHA).
  • Experience with both Professional Billing (PB) and Hospital Billing (HB).
