Responsible for developing and delivering cost effective mechanical and cooling designs that are best in class mechanically, thermally and acoustically in support of server designs. Working with system level design of mechanicals using CAD to design sheet metal and plastics and thermal designs using high performance fans, heatsinks, and baffles. Daily use of materials science, and mechanical design skills. The intern will be part of a program team that includes electrical, software, marketing and managers responsible for getting a server designed and delivered to HPE customers. Education & Experience:Currently working toward a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (BSME)Good problem-solving skills. Works independently and as part of a team. Ability to understand and interpret Computational Fluid Dynamics reports. Understanding of microprocessor architecture and thermal profiles.
