$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

About the role

Harmer has been engaged by our client to identify a Property Accountant. We welcome you to apply!

Responsibilities Include

• Prepare monthly financial reports for assigned properties and development projects
• Review payables, receivables, billings, and bank reconciliations
• Support budgeting, recoveries, and variance analysis across multiple property types
• Track project costs, monitor draws, and assist with capitalization of development expenditures
• Coordinate with property managers and project managers to ensure accurate coding and reporting
• Assist with annual property tax, 1099, and sales tax filings
• Partner with auditors, lenders, and consultants to support reporting and compliance requests
• Participate in process improvement initiatives as the company upgrades its accounting systems
• Collaborate closely with Controllers and other accounting team members on special projects

Education & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field
• 2-3+ years of property or real estate accounting experience
• Experience with Yardi or similar real estate software preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
