Job Details

The order puller performs an array of functions to ensure the proper and timely fulfillment of customer orders. This includes receiving, sorting, and staging incoming material; pulling and preparing orders from inventory; and assisting with the loading of products onto delivery trucks. This position requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to operate warehouse and yard equipment.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Accurately pull and stage customer orders based on pick lists or RF (radio frequency) system instructions.
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks to move and load materials safely.
• Assist with receiving and processing incoming stock, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and stocking items in their correct bins or racks.
• Build, wrap, and transport pallets of materials for delivery or customer pickup.
• Inspect products for accuracy and quality before they are shipped and report any discrepancies to management.
• Load products onto carrier vehicles, ensuring all orders are secured properly for transit.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in the warehouse and pipe yard by performing tasks such as sweeping, dusting, and organizing materials.
• Adhere to all company safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Perform inventory control duties, which may include assisting with audits and reporting low stock or missing items.
• Perform other general warehouse and yard duties as assigned by a supervisor.
