Accounting Clerk/Admin

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk/Admin to provide maternity leave coverage, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role.

The Accounting Clerk/Admin will play an essential role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing general administrative support to the accounting team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Light Accounts Payable (AP): Process invoices and assist with vendor inquiries. Full accounts payable functions are outsourced, but you will play a role in managing related tasks and ensuring timely payments.
  • Light Accounts Receivable (AR): Assist with entering AR transactions and tracking outstanding balances.
  • Excel Usage: Perform daily data entry, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports using Excel. Advanced Excel skills are not required, but proficiency in managing spreadsheets is essential.
  • General Administrative Support: Provide overall administrative assistance to the accounting team, including filing, organizing documents, and other ad-hoc duties.
  • Communication with External Parties: Coordinate with external vendors and customers as necessary, ensuring professional communication and accurate financial records.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or administrative support role. Previous experience in accounts payable or receivable is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong Excel skills (intermediate level), attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
  • Personal Qualities: A positive, proactive attitude, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, small office environment.
