Job Profile

JOB SUMMARY: Transports patients, specimens and medication throughout Harris Health System facilities via wheelchair, stretcher and/or bed in an efficient, timely and safe manner while maintaining proper infection control methods, and ensuring the patient is given the utmost courtesy and respect by utilizing good customer service skills and adhering to the Service First standards of behavior. Perform best practices and standards as a Certified Healthcare Transporter.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 2 years or more of patient transporter experience.

1. Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of the Harris Health System Certified Healthcare Transporter training program.
2. Work Experience (Years and Area): Two years customer service experience.
3. Management Experience (Years and Area): None
4. Equipment Operated: Stretcher, Wheelchair , Hospital Bed, Radio equipment, Oxygen Tanks and
Cadaver Stretcher and electronic devices
