POSITIION SUMMARY:Conducts day-to-day activities pertaining to the checking and packing product for the shipping department. Checks and Packs material accurately and in an efficient manner, all while maintaining a safe and clean work environment. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:In addition to the Responsibilities of Order checker/ Packer:Ensures designated equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.)Effectively communicates with department supervisors. Utilizes Sales Order information to accurately verify recorded information provided by the order puller. Visually inspects all material to identify any non-conformances. Packages material securely, ensuring it is protected from any potential damage during transit. Properly fills out information required on Sales Order and accompanying forms. Attend Safety Meetings to identify departmental issues and discuss ways to correct them.
