The Houston Information Technology Services (HITS) GIS Services team supports citywide operations through advanced geospatial solutions. Our team provides comprehensive GIS technical support, manages data workflows and ETL automation, administers Web GIS platforms, develops system integrations, and maintains critical GIS infrastructure. We are hands-on in designing and configuring solutions, upgrading environments and applications, establishing secure connections, managing user licensing, and delivering expert guidance to ensure reliable and innovative GIS services across the organization. The IT Specialist Applications (GIS Analyst) will assist City of Houston departments with their GIS needs utilizing ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro. This role involves supporting departmental projects by developing and maintaining workflows, creating web maps, configuring and customizing web applications, and assisting with user licensing management.
