CONTRACT Lab Technician - Chemical Manufacturing

TECH 2000 is currently seeking lab technician candidates for a position available in the Pasadena/Deer Park/LaPorte area. This is a well-established chemical manufacturing environment where we have built a strong, long-term relationship over the years. The lab leadership team is highly engaged, supportive, and committed to developing their staff, making this a solid opportunity for someone looking to grow in a structured, professional setting. This position will work in a dynamic, fast-paced laboratory to support the delivery of analytical data for the company's customers and products.

Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Practical hands-on experience with various Gas Chromatograph & GC/MS methods.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct various wet chemistry and physical-analytical skills – KF, ASTM, etc.
• Ability to perform routine calibrations, maintenance, or troubleshooting is preferred.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following established health and safety or chemical hygiene requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, or other similar Science degrees. Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• 6+ months of industrial experience with various instrumental analysis and wet chemistry testing in a refinery laboratory or third-party petroleum testing lab. 1+ years' experience preferred
• Strong adherence to safety.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a TWIC card.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work assignments and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
• Strong communication skills are required with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Must be willing to work 12 hour rotating shift.

Details:

• Shift – 12hr Dupont schedule
• Location – Pasadena, TX area
• Pay - $28-30/hr+ DOE
