Position Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 (Depending on Experience) + Bonus / Incentives
Responsibilities:
Reports to Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Responsible for the overall operational performance and scalability of the company with primary accountability for manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and operational execution. This role provides strategic leadership day-to-day energy storage system manufacturing.
The Director of Operations ensures the company can safely, efficiently, and profitably scale its manufacturing and deployment capabilities to support growth in the energy management market.
Own and run operational strategy, aligning manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and facilities with corporate growth objectives.
Own deployment, maintenance and services of the company' fleet of Hybrid Energy Management Systems (HEMS) and manage hardware engineering, testing and commissioning of HEMS
Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to company-wide planning, risk management, and capital allocation decisions.
Set and execute company operations strategy aligned with company growth and financial objectives.
Establish standardized operating procedures, KPIs, and management rhythms across manufacturing operations.
Oversee production planning, capacity expansion, and facility readiness to support near-term and long-term demand.
Own operational budgets, forecasts, and capital planning in partnership with Finance.
Lead supply chain strategy, source and negotiate with new vendors and measure their performance, and risk mitigation for critical components.
Support new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturability in partnership with Engineering.
Build, develop, and lead a high-performing operations leadership team.
Strategic Planning & Growth Enablement
Lead operational scaling initiatives, including:
New production lines or facilities
Contract manufacturing or outsourcing strategies
Make vs. buy decisions
Partner with software Engineering and Product teams to support new product introduction and manufacturability.
Drive long-range operational planning, including workforce planning, equipment investment, and infrastructure needs
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business or similar background; MBA preferred. Somone preferably who has grown a small business or businesses to scale.
10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience, including senior leadership in manufacturing.
Proven experience scaling manufacturing operations, ideally in energy storage, renewable energy, power systems, or advanced industrial manufacturing.
Strong financial and operational acumen with experience managing large budgets and capital investments.
Strong ability to balance strategic leadership with operational discipline
Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline
Experience operating in high-growth, fast-paced environments
Data-driven, metrics-focused leadership style
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Track record of building scalable, repeatable manufacturing systems
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to travel to domestic and international locations as needed (10% travel)
