Job Summary

The Enterprise Asset Management Technician reports to the Equipment and Yard Supervisor.

This role is an Oracle specialist who works mainly with the Oracle E-Business Suite, especially the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) module.

The EAM Tech provides technical support, manages records and data, and helps maintain the company's asset and maintenance systems. The position also involves occasional travel to yards or field locations to collect information, perform transfers, or train field personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for reporting, tracking, and inventory control.
  • Get quotes for trucking services, select the best price, and submit Purchase Orders (POs) with proper backup documentation.
  • Create reports from the EAM system showing asset information, including photos and documents.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials and equipment using Oracle EAM and update records accurately.
  • Take, collect, and upload photos and important documents for capital assets and critical inventory.
  • Gather inventory, connectivity, and other asset reports as needed.
  • Safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials.
  • Perform asset inventories at the rig-up yard and third-party locations; research and fix any errors.
  • Create, release, complete, and close work orders with supporting documentation.
  • Identify assets that are missing ID tags and add proper tagging.
  • Verify new orders upon receipt and process them in the purchasing system.
  • Research and provide comments on project invoices regarding receipts and locations.
  • Request asset numbers for new purchases and track the labeling/tagging process.
  • Update or modify EAM equipment records when needed.
  • Maintain and report on EAM maintenance records, meters, and documents.
  • Follow all procedures for asset management, shipping/receiving, and safety to ensure smooth operations.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to create reports, schedules, presentations, procedures, and process documents.
  • Good reading comprehension for equipment documents, reports, and other written materials.
  • Experience creating and processing work orders and tracking data in computer systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with tact and professionalism.
  • Good organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to conduct and coordinate physical inventories.
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl occasionally in field areas.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds while walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Good vision (close, distance, depth perception, and ability to focus).
  • Ability to clearly see and judge distances while directing work activities.
  • Ability to listen for unusual equipment noises.
  • Good short-term and long-term memory.
  • Ability to stay aware of surroundings in areas with moving objects and equipment.
  • Ability to stay alert and focused during long work periods.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills; able to give and follow directions quickly.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and comfortable learning new software.
  • Must maintain Forklift and Manlift certifications.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Proactive attitude.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with team members, customers, and third parties.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel to vendor locations and storage yards for audits.
  • Able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • 2+ years of experience using computer systems to create/process work orders and track data
  • 1+ years of forklift experience
  • 1+ years of experience in inventory control, familiar with structural steel and material test reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle systems AND Excel
  • Basic knowledge of drilling equipment
  • Previous EAM Technician experience
  • Basic knowledge of drilling rig components (engines, drawworks, mud pumps, top drives, etc.)
