Enterprise Information Management Director

  2026-05-02     MK Search     Houston,TX
Description:

We're working with a consulting organization looking to bring on a senior-level Enterprise Information Management (EIM) leader to build and scale a practice.

This is not a pure sales role—but it does require someone who understands how to grow business, strengthen client relationships, and deliver high-quality consulting services. If you've been leading EIM initiatives and are ready to step into a more strategic, practice-building role, this could be a strong next step.

What You'll Own:

  • Lead the development and growth of an EIM service line from the ground up
  • Partner with executive leadership to define revenue goals, margins, and utilization strategies
  • Build and refine service offerings based on market trends and client needs
  • Develop proposals, scopes of work, and pursuit strategies for new opportunities
  • Maintain and grow client relationships at the executive level
  • Oversee delivery quality, ensuring strong client outcomes and contract alignment
  • Create and manage a scalable team structure (hiring, mentoring, and developing talent)
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic planning
  • Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader within EIM (internal + external)

What They're Looking For:

  • Deep expertise in Enterprise Information Management and document control practices
  • 10+ years of experience across project leadership, consulting, or operations
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring teams (direct or indirect)
  • Strong business acumen—comfortable discussing revenue, margins, and growth strategy
  • Ability to contribute to business development while maintaining a consultative approach
  • Executive-level communication skills and client-facing confidence
  • Experience within engineering, construction, or capital project environments is highly preferred
  • Background in building or scaling services, teams, or business units is a big plus
  • Project management or change management certifications are helpful, but not required

Role Highlights:

  • Up to ~20% travel
  • Opportunity to step into a leadership role—even if you're not currently at the Director level
  • High visibility with executive leadership and direct impact on company growth
