Tax Senior / Tax Manager Location: Irving, TX (Hybrid) Schedule: Monday-Friday, standard business hours (Busy season ~50 hours) Pay: $100,000-$120,000 DOE Employment Type: Direct Hire CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking a Tax Senior or Tax Manager for a well-established public accounting firm in Irving, TX. This is a client-facing, hands-on role where you will manage a portfolio of clients and own the full lifecycle of tax engagements. This firm operates in a generalist model, providing exposure to multiple industries and a wide range of return types. The ideal candidate enjoys owning their work, interacting directly with clients, and working in an environment where responsibilities are not heavily segmented. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of 50+ clients Review and finalize tax returns Perform higher-level tax preparation as needed Serve as primary point of contact for clients Work across multiple entity types and industries Delegate and review work completed by junior staff What Makes Someone Successful Here Comfortable owning client relationships end-to-end Strong communicator (clear, concise, and client-facing) Able to manage both preparation and review responsibilities Thrives in a generalist (non-siloed) environment Self-sufficient and able to operate independently Qualifications Public accounting experience required Experience with: 1040 1065 1120 / 1120S Trust returns Experience reviewing returns (not just preparing) Client-facing experience Strong communication skills Preferred CPA or CPA-eligible Experience managing client relationships Background in mid-size public accounting firm
