Job Title:Commercial Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A Houston-based law firm is seeking an accomplished litigation attorney with substantial experience in commercial disputes. This opportunity, offered through a legal recruiting agency, is ideal for a practitioner who thrives in a courtroom setting and has demonstrated success handling cases from inception through verdict in both federal and state courts. Additional background in creditor-focused banking or bankruptcy matters will be viewed favorably.

Duties:

Manage a full docket of commercial litigation matters independently

Handle all aspects of case development, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial

Represent clients in both state and federal courts

Strategize and execute legal actions in alignment with client goals

Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court

Collaborate with internal legal teams when needed to advance case progress

Requirements:

Admission to the Texas State Bar in good standing

Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial litigation

Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation through trial

Proficiency with procedural rules in both state and federal court systems

Strong understanding of business and contract law principles

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
