Warehouse Agent - Houston Ocean Cargo

Air General, a third-generation, family-owned, national cargo handling company, is looking for a Warehouse Agent at our Ocean Cargo facility in Houston, TX. Warehouse duties include: handling the transfer of cargo to and from our client and their customers, with a strict adherence to safety and security procedures, documentation, loading and unloading and above all, great customer service. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Job Responsibilities include:

• Operate a forklift, tug and pallet jack.
• Process customer paperwork and shipping information.
• Load/unload cargo from/to vehicles/trucks.
• Prepare, palletize, and/or breakdown cargo as needed.
• Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is accurate.
• Assure proper handling and delivery of cargo.
• Clean up and sweep warehouse, dispose garbage.
• Maintain safe operation of warehouse vehicles and equipment.
• Follow Hazmat and Security Requirements and Regulations.
• All other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid and unexpired US Driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Candidates must possess some basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office programs.
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and government security background checks, and post offer drug screens.
• Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, high-noise environment, and meet deadlines.
• Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language when performing essential job functions.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00a-5:00p
