About the Role: UPS Industrial Services LLC is seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a strong background in BIM/VDC coordination, pre-construction, and project execution support.

Key Responsibilities:

BIM/VDC Coordination

• Navigate, review, and manage federated 3D models (Revit, etc.) provided by clients and trade partners.
• Perform spatial coordination and clash detection to ensure structural steel, piping, equipment footprints, and I&E routing are conflict-free prior to mobilization.
• Attend weekly VDC/BIM coordination meetings with clients and cross-trade teams to resolve constructability issues.

Pre-Construction and Project Execution Support

• Review highly detailed commercial Requests for Proposals (RFPs), specifications, and contract documents to deconstruct and delineate scopes of work across internal UPSIS departments.
• Draft, submit, and track Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring clear communication between UPSIS and clients/trade partners.
• Navigate and utilize industry standard project management platforms (e.g., InEight, Procore, Autodesk Forma) to manage document control.
• Develop daily work plans and detailed Installation Work Packages (IWPs) for the construction teams.
• Translate field progress and 3D model updates into quantifiable metrics to track earned value and productivity within the InEight Suite.

Required Skills:

• Advanced proficiency with Revit software.
• Proven experience navigating 3D models and extracting data.
• Strong understanding of commercial specification structures, submittal packaging, and RFI workflows.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex architectural, engineering, and construction documents.
• Experience working within cloud-based project controls software (e.g., InEight) is a plus.
• Ability to perform in a high-performance, cross-functional environment with tight deadlines.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, construction management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in heavy industrial construction, EPC, or complex commercial projects.

Work Environment:

• Office Environment
• 20% travel required
