We are seeking a reliable andsafety-focused Packager to join a manufacturing team in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for packaging finished products, operating production equipment, transporting materials throughout the facility, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a chemical manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing experience, forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production setting.
Operate packaging equipment and support packaging operations
Package finished materials into appropriate containers according to established procedures
Handle, store, and transport materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment
Operate both manual and automated production systems, including computer-controlled interfaces
Complete production paperwork, inventory reports, forklift inspections, and environmental documentation
Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Participate in operator training and certification programs
Assist with emergency response procedures and equipment shutdowns when required
Support production goals while maintaining quality standards
High School Diploma or GED
1 2 years of manufacturing experience
At least 1 year of forklift operating experience
Strong English reading and comprehension skills
Basic math skills
Ability to learn technical processes and equipment operation
Strong attention to safety and quality procedures
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and move throughout the shift
Regularly lift up to 25 pounds
Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance
Ability to work around moving machinery, chemicals, humidity, heat, noise, and changing environmental conditions
Overtime may be required based on production demands
Weekend and holiday work may be required during peak production periods
Must successfully complete required training and certification programs
Drug screen required
Must be authorized to work in the United States and successfully complete I-9/E-Verify requirements
