Job Position: Plating Line Operator
Location: Humble, TX 77396
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour (DOE)
Shifts:

Day Shift: 6:00 AM-6:00 PM

Night Shift: 6:00 PM-6:00 AM

Alternating weekends and rotating schedule of 32 hours one week and 48 hours the next

Position Summary

The Plating Line Operator operates and monitors plating and tinning equipment used to process copper products. This position is responsible for maintaining production and process conditions, monitoring product quality, collecting samples for testing, and following established safety and operating procedures.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an industrial production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate plating and tinning line equipment safely and efficiently according to production schedules and work instructions.
• Monitor plating processes, chemical baths, and operating parameters to maintain consistent product quality.
• Perform routine checks of equipment and process conditions.
• Inspect finished and in-process products for quality, appearance, and potential defects.
• Collect and submit product samples to the laboratory for required testing.
• Monitor production output, scrap, and process information.
• Accurately record production data and other required information in production systems.
• Identify and report process deviations, equipment issues, and product-quality concerns.
• Follow established procedures for handling chemicals and operating plating equipment.
• Report unsafe conditions, spills, incidents, or other safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S practices.
• Work with supervisors, production team members, and quality personnel to resolve process and quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, and productivity.

Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing position in an industrial production environment. The employee will work around plating equipment, chemicals, production machinery, and related industrial processes and must follow all required safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
