Medical Assistant 4

The Medical Assistant 4 is the first contact for patient care. Responsible for administrative tasks in addition to patient care. The Medical Assistant 4 assumes ownership and leads advanced and specialized administrative/operational/customer support tasks that require independent initiative and judgment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Performing clinical responsibilities such as discussing symptoms and gathering information.
  • Inputting information into the electronic medical records system.
  • Taking vital signs, giving injections, and performing diagnostic tests.
  • Collecting specimens and drawing blood.
  • Sterilizing and cleaning equipment and maintaining examination rooms at an outpatient care site.
  • Collaborating with Physicians and Nurses.
  • Delivering direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows.
  • Making decisions regarding the daily priorities for an administrative work group or external vendors.
  • Overseeing the work of others.
  • Being the primary administrative owner of a main process, program, product, or technology.
  • Working within broad guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified or Registered
  • Phlebotomy Experience
  • Medication/vaccine administration experience
  • 3+ years MA Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certified
  • We consider this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB

Other Qualifications

  • 1+ years MA experience in PCO center
  • Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Pay Range: $53,100 - $72,500 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
