General Assembly Technician (Day Shift)

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical assembly of switch gears and panels.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to fabricate metal frames and enclosures for electrical switch gears.
• Engage in general labor tasks including moving items manually.
• Interpret and work with schematics, blueprints, and bills of materials.
• Assist in installation and troubleshooting processes.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year experience in manual labor.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Proficient in using hand tools and power tools.
• Experience in working in hot environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in industrial settings.
• Initiative and ability to work every day of the week.
• Background in roofing, landscaping, or similar hot environment work.

Work Environment

Work at a spacious 600k sqft facility in Pasadena, TX, known for its cleanliness and organization. The non-climate controlled environment is equipped with open bay doors and multiple fans to ensure comfort. Join a fast-paced production shop with daytime hours from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Safety gear including steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses are required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
